The Story
Jonathan Rubinstein's journey is a testament to the power of passion and perseverance. Born and raised in Venezuela, his life took an adventurous turn when he made the decision to relocate to the United States at the age of 17. Driven by a deep-seated passion for design, Jonathan embarked on a remarkable educational journey, earning a BFA in Footwear and Accessory Design with a minor in Industrial Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Following his graduation in 2019, the bustling streets of New York City became his canvas as he honed his craft with renowned fashion houses such as Calvin Klein, Coach, and Brandon Blackwood. Jonathan's thirst for knowledge and artistic growth led him back to SCAD in 2021, where he pursued an MFA in Production Design and Art Direction. Throughout his academic journey, both as an undergraduate and graduate student, Jonathan played a crucial role on campus as a Digital Lab Technician in the DigiLab and SCADLab. Today, having graduated in June of 2023, Jonathan Rubinstein has embarked on a new chapter as a Shop Technician for the School of Foundation Studies and the School of Fine Arts, marking yet another exciting step in his remarkable journey.
